Crispy ham rolls: how to make them delicious!

Crispy and cheesy, they are irresistible! The best appetizer ever.

INGREDIENTS

250g ham, sliced

150g mozzarella, sliced

2g (2 tsp) dried oregano

3 eggs

3g (1/2 tsp) salt

1g (1/2 tsp) black pepper

pinch of curry

100g (1 cup) breadcrumbs

40g (1/3 cup) grated Parmesan

160g (1 cup) flour

Vegetable oil (for frying)

METHOD

  1. Put 2 slices of ham one on top of the other.
  2. Top with a slice of mozzarella, sprinkle with some oregano, and wrap the roll. Continue with the remaining ingredients.
  3. Arrange rolls into a freezer-safe box and freeze for 25 minutes.
  4. Prepare the breading station: In a bowl whisk 3 eggs with a pinch of curry, salt, and pepper. Place breadcrumbs onto a separate plate and mix with grated Parmesan. Put a cup of flour onto another plate.
  5. Coat each roll in flour, then dip in beaten eggs and coat in breadcrumbs. Then repeat this procedure one more time to create double breading.
  6. In a pot, heat vegetable oil and fry the rolls for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
